World’s first monument for the plastic chair / cc-by-4.0 Reinis
Hi! This is a little bit different, because this plastic chair ain’t made from plastic, but from bronze. But it’s definitely the first monument for a plastic chair in the World!
The guy sitting there is Ēvalds Valters, a very famous Latvian actor who lived 100 years (1894-1994).
Hello! My name is Laura and I live in a very beautiful Latvian city of Liepāja. Also called the “city of winds”. It`s next to the Baltic Sea and here sometimes is really windy, but also very beautiful.
Watched a TV show about plastic bags and chairs. It mentioned plasticchair.org I think that your project is very interesting. I remembered that I have one on the balcony. This chair was found when I moved here last summer. it’s dirty, because it was used for repair works in apartment.
I guess this chair is just cleanable if needed again. Otherwise, I can always recommend the plastic chair refurbish method from Love hue Design.
Oh, and by the way: I can verify that Liepāja is quiet nice. I passed that town on my bicycle when cycling from Olstyn (Poland) to Tallinn (Estonia) waaaay back in 1999.
